SAME PROP: Amended Bloodlines to Redemption

In my duties as Brujah Coordinator I propose the following:

The character Cristof (misspelled Christoph in Clan Novels Brujah and Nosferatu) Romauld is a canon WW npc (and protagonist) from the video game Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption. The video game provided three alternate endings, which can of course create a bit of confusion. His treatment in Clanbook brujah: Revised leaves just as many questions and while those questions may be appropriate in character, if we are to use the NPC then we need to administratively understand exactly what happened at the end of his story in Redemption.

I therefore propose that we use the so called "neutral" ending of the story. Christof is blood-bonded by the Tzimisce Methuselah and forced to feed from Anezka until she is dead. In this scenario Christof mourns the loss of his beloved, but is powerless to fight the influence of Vukodlak.

In the interveneing years Cristof will have escaped Vukodlak's power and eventually broken the blood bond the Tzimisce held over him. This leaves that NPC for the Tzimisce Coord to use (or not) as required for their office while providing a conclusion for Cristof that leaves him free to use in OWBN.

Cristof is an Independent (arguably Autarkis) Brujah who "has no love for the sabbat and regards the Camarilla with casual interest at best," (CB-Brujah:R page 98).

This should be considered a Plot Proposal and cannot be shared with Players. While it is not an actively pursued plot, it provides plot closure, which is just as important.

Rationale:
You may ask why i'm proposing this. There are two reasons;

First, a player wants to play Christof's childe. I am not comfortable signing off on that without a conclusive end to the story presented in Redemption. Without such a conclusion, there is no real starting point for sire/childe relations.

Second, I have been making a point to use a variety of NPCs to push forward Brujah genre. This conclusion to Cristof's prior story will provide me with a character whose motivations are founded in a rage that only comes from losing not only yourself, but someone you love.

While his story does continue in the clan novel: Brujah, we have never said definitively whether the clan novels are canon for owbn. I am not prepared to make that determination with this proposal as i think it should require a stronger discussion on council. I am prepared to say "this is how the events of the game ended" because that really only affects my genre.

Lastly, If this receives no objections I would ask the HC to make it a General Consensus so that the player can get into play ASAP. I'm not sure if this qualifies for that, but if it does it would be appreciated.
